The ToolBook Batcher allows you to search for objects in multiple books. You search by object type, property type, and property values. Replace a property value, or execute an OpenScript expression every time an object is found.

Selected features

Define the scope of the search, to a specific page, background, or even multiple books.
Search for objects by property values, and object type. You can search for all object types and property types, or you can choose a specific object or property.
You can search for all the standard properties, and even user properties.
Replace any property on the found objects; you can even apply a new user property.
Execute a custom script every time an object is found. This enables you to use advanced OpenScript to manipulate the found object, create new objects, import resources etc.
The 'save' options allows performing a 'save as' on the target books, thereby minimizing the file size. You can also choose to save optimized for CD-ROM, and thereby creating cache files.
Use the result page to quickly navigate to the found objects
Save the the searches, build a library with the most commonly used.

Practical examples:

Change the color of a button you have on every page, in 15 books. It will only take you 5 minutes.
Replace any property on the found objects; you can even apply a new user property.
Quickly prepare books for CD-ROM deployment, by using the 'save optimized for CD-ROM' feature.

The option to use 'execute a custom script' every time an object is found, makes the Toolbook Batcher extremely flexible. Here are some examples of what you can accomplish with a custom script.

Use deleteobject function to delete an object you have on multiple pages, in multiple books.
Paste a new object on selected pages, adjust the position, size, import a shared script and associate it to the object.
Delete all actions from a specific object in all your books.
Import a new resource (graphic, shared script etc.), and assign it to the specified objects.
Create a page index, by finding all the pages, and collect the page names. A special variable can be used to collect output data. You will be able to view the contents when the search has finished, and save it to a text file.
With a little skill you can even modify the ASYM_WID_AnsArray. I.e. change the points given for a correct answer. Look in the FAQ for an example.

Demo:

First you must Define a search scope.
Then you enter the search properties.
What should be replaced?
How should the target books be saved, start the search.
View the results of the search, and use the list to navigate the target books.
